What are few of leading companies in antivirus software marketplace in United States? Think of it or not, but there are few of them. They are the Symantec that makes Computer Associates, Norton Antivirus, and CA dealing in the E-trust, McAfee & Trend Micro that manufacturers are PCcillin. All these companies have huge share in market.

Huge software maker Microsoft is as well planning to break in market. At 2003, Microsoft got rights to GeCad, Romanian company-based at Bucharest. Microsoft as well obtained two more companies: The Giant Company Software that developed behavior-based computer security. In addition, they designed & came up with the solutions for a spyware. All these companies have independent testers such as West Coast Checkmark Services, Virus Bulletin & ICSA Labs. Few of vendors may offer all their software as the freeware; and others can mark as the shareware it means that it should be bought.

Despite an overwhelming anti-virus software, market is not clear & world is changing very fast. It is with good effort to meet a head on with viruses, which seem to be coming in great numbers every day. They not just appear to increase however are becoming complex every one is released.

Even with all this knowledge, not all companies will have necessary sources, which is needed to steer forward with challenges that may lie ahead. There are many sample viruses, which arrive to all these companies. It appears that there is 11% increase every year with number of viruses, which pop up.
